A brief introduction

Hannah is a senior associate in the dispute resolution team, specialising in resolving disputes involving property. Hannah has significant experience previously working in this area acting on behalf of land owners, tenants, developers, development agencies, banks and insolvency practitioners. 

Hannah’s experience covers a broad spectrum of property disputes arising from the ownership, leasing and management of land, coving both commercial and residential property

  • advising on all types of landlord and tenant disputes including residential and commercial property
  • advising on issues relating to the interpretation of contracts
  • dealing with dilapidation claims, including advising on the applicability of s18 defences
  • dealing with disputes arising from commercial or residential property development, working with a variety of clients providing strategic and tactical advice for dispute avoidance or mitigation
  • acting in relation to injunction proceedings, particularly in relation to breach of covenant, infringement of easements, nuisance and rights of way
  • dealing with all aspects of leasehold enfranchisement and lease extensions
  • advising in relation to all contractual and professional negligence property claims
  • acting and advising in relation to First Tier Tribunal disputes
  • acting and advising in relation to First Tier Tribunal proceedings relating to leasehold enfranchisement and restrictive covenants
  • advice to landlords and managing agents in respect of service change and management disputes

  • acting for a variety of national retailers in respect of their property portfolio management needs
  • undertaking successful adverse possession and trespass claims on behalf of both claimant and defendant
  • dealing with contested lease renewal proceedings for both landlords and tenants
  • advising in relation to the rights of telecoms operators and their removal from land
  • advising on claims for possession via proceedings or peaceable re-entry for both residential and commercial premises
  • advice regarding insolvent landlords or tenants
